Coming Soon ..

Future policy to be reviewed, site to be used primarily for the purpose of posting further information following on from “Sounds in the Shadow of the Crooked Spire” ..

When we start to include audio we will be posting intermittent songs from the large catalogue of tunes composed and recorded by Keith Riley, former songwriter, vocalist and guitarist with “Shape of the Rain” ..

“Stalled at the Crossroads, Part Three (of four) ..

Ian Lee’s ongoing story of life on the road with The Blueberries ..

“A Boy’s Own Story, Part Two” (of ‘a few more’)

More of David McPhie’s recollections of Boythorpe, Music (bands, record shops, clubs),  Football, Cricket, Railways, Bookshops, Craft Centres, etc.

“Hulleys of Baslow Remembered (1982)”  and  “Great Central Main Line North of Nottingham, A Pictorial Album (1988)” ..

Roger Kaye , who has a Chesterfield Market Stall on Thursdays , selling Transport Memorabilia , started publishing small A5 size pictorial books in the early 1980s under the name of Lowlander Publications , featuring local railways , buses and some local history .. all these titles are long out of print , but by kind arrangement with Roger we will be featuring some of these titles. And to come later :- “The Changing Face of Chesterfield, Part One”, “The Changing Face of ChesterfieldPart Two”, and “Cromford and High Peak Railway, The Final Years” ..

UNFORTUNATELY, NO DIGITAL FORMAT INFO SURVIVES for all of Roger’s books and so my optimism (not for the first time) was somewhat misplaced and it is going to be a task of some proportions to reproduce these titles given the restrictions on our available time and the technology necessary, but we will strive to get there eventually ..
